Juneteenth Celebration

University Height’s inaugural Juneteenth celebration, commemorating the end of slavery by marking the day enslaved people in Texas learned they were free, was held in 2022. Now in its fourth year, the Juneteenth Celebration celebrates the rich culture of African Americans and our community’s diversity and commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. This family-friendly educational and entertaining event features two stages with live music, dance, and spoken word performances; ​interactive educational and fitness programs; delicious foods and beverages; and select vendors, artists and craftspeople.
