The Communications and Civic Engagement department is responsible for media, outreach, constituent services, and the promotion of quality of life in University Heights.

Communications & Civic Engagement Director Mike Cook serves as the media contact for the city.

Our office works closely with the mayor, administration, and others in city government to better communicate with the public. We work with other city directors to improve the city’s business climate, promote housing programs, enhance administration projects, and explain city services.

We assist the mayor with the Citizen Committee program and other forms of community collaboration.

We’re also responsible for the UH Wrap-up Friday Afternoon e-newsletter, “Mosaic” magazine, website and all social media platforms.

In addition, we work with University Heights residents and shareholders to address concerns and solve problems.

Since 2019, Cooper the Chicken has served as the University Heights Brand Ambassador.
