University Heights has been awarded Tree City USA status for 33 consecutive years by the National Arbor Day Foundation. 
Caution Regarding Street Sewers
Please do not place anything into the catch basins around University Heights.
Catch basins are designed to collect and remove rainwater from the streets and are part of the regional storm water sewer system. Water collected in
catch basins travels untreated directly to Lake Erie; placing used motor oil and other hazardous household wastes in
catch basins directly affects the water quality of Lake Erie and the region.
Used motor oil can be dropped off at your local oil change
facility (see Service Department - Policies & Procedures link
below).

The Service Department staff have all National holidays off. Rubbish collection may be delayed following these holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas. Be advised that Service Personnel work on Columbus Day.
