2010 Fall Oral Rabies Vaccination (ORV) Program ~ To help slow the westward migration of raccoon-strain rabies in Ohio, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH), the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and the United States Departmetn of Agriculture (USDA) begas to conduct a program to distribut an oral rabies vaccine (ORV) to help immunize wild raccoons against the virus.  For more information visit the Ohio Department of Health's website www.odh.gov.  

Proposed ORV ground baiting schedule for University Heights is Thursday, September 2, 2010.  If you happen to come across a bait, please leave it alone.

Free Paper Shredding ~ Sunday, October 10, noon to 3:00 p.m., at the City Hall Service Department.

Community Gardening ~ The City of University Heights started its planning process for a community garden in University Heights for the 2011 growing season.  It is not too late to participate!  Any interested residents should contact Chris Vild, Service Director, at 216.932.7800 x 215 or at cvild@universityheights.com for further information.  The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, 7:00 p.m., at the garden site on South Taylor Road.

"At Your Service" ~ City of University Heights news update

Held the first and third Mondays from September through June, in Council Chambers at 7:30 p.m.  For weeks when council meetings fall on a federal holiday, council meetings will be held the next day on Tuesday.
