Department Makeup
The Mayor, who is elected by the people, is the Chief Executive Officer of the City, serves as Safety Director, and oversees the Administration Department.
The Clerk of Council also acts as supervisor of the administrative staff.

Activities of the Department
Provide support to Mayor, Clerk of Council and department directors.
Assist general public with telephone inquiries.
Process special pickup requests, garage sale permits (see rules & regulations), requests for public records, fire run reports, and schedule block parties.
Distribute applications for employment and voter registration cards.
Register police and fire applicants for civil service exams.
Assist citizen committees with the City’s major civic events such as the annual Memorial Day Parade, Civic Award “Main Street” Reception, Arbor Day Ceremony and the employee appreciation event.
Sell recreation passes for Purvis Park.
